The British Paediatric Neurosurgical Group is one of the oldest groups within the Society of British Neurological Surgeons.
The aim of the group is to advance the practice of paediatric neurosurgery including setting standards, encouraging research, audit and education.
To further the development of paediatric neurosurgery in the British Isles
To encourage research and teaching in paediatric neurosurgery
To convene a meeting of British and Irish paediatric surgeons annually
To liaise with other specialities involved in the management of paediatric neurosurgical
disorders
To foster relationships with similar groups nationally and internationally in order to share
best practice
To act as a professional advisory body to other groups including government agencies
